When guilt appears after meals.

Have you ever experienced the emotion of guilt after eating a food that “goes out” of your established pattern?? Yes that's how it is, Have you ever wondered why??

The emotion of guilt appears to warn us that we have done something “bad” and gives us the possibility of repairing it…then, When it appears regarding food, is it telling us that we have done something wrong by eating??

Currently we have access to a lot of information about food, although it does not always come from the hand of expert professionals in nutrition and health., but rather it is focused on making us believe that we can achieve a certain body or body shape if we follow a certain diet.. These types of diets are generally characterized by being hypocaloric and restrictive and seek to achieve results in a short time.. It is very common to find “forbidden” foods or food groups such as fats and carbohydrates.. “Miraculous” diets that are impossible to maintain over time and end up leading those who follow them into a spiral of bad relationships with food and their bodies.. The moment the person eats a “forbidden” food, they begin to experience guilt and thoughts like “I shouldn't have eaten that,” “I feel bad about my body.”. Besides, We cannot ignore that these are easily accessible foods and that we pass by restaurants every day., food businesses and we see other people eating them, which can cause more desire to consume them. Desire for what is “forbidden” and guilt immediately after eating it…but, where do we put the focus to help us with the guilt?, In what is desired or in what is prohibited?. The problem really is what is considered “forbidden” and what distances us from that ideal of beauty that we want to achieve. (spoiler: it is not achievable!). The most advisable thing is to acquire a series of healthy habits that include a varied diet and, very important, non-restrictive. We are not doing anything wrong when we eat a food that is outside of what we normally eat., our body will not be affected, it's more, You will thank us and this will also prevent the generation of anxiety and loss of control over them..

Guilt is a chain

If you find yourself faced with this situation again, remember this reflection: It's not your body's fault or your food's fault., if not the diets that tell us what is prohibited. And if you need our help, We are at your disposal if you want to do it in a conscious and healthy way!!
